i dicided to take a break from "girls and dragons" so inioy this post about dr. Ernest Drake
Born in 1822, St. Leonard's Forest, Sussex, England. Ernest Drake is fascinated by dragons, and wrote dragonology. He believes that the few dragons that still remain should be very well protected, and has no doubt that there is no such thing. His books were lately found and published, and became the great books we read today.Dr. Ernest Drake was born in 1822 in St. Leonard's Forest in Sussex, England, in the very same year as Weasel, the knucker of St. Leonard's Forest. As a boy he was fascinated by palaeontology, thanks to the fossil mania that had been sparked off by Gideon Mantell's discovery of the Iguanodon tooth near Cuckfield in Sussex. However, when he was eight years old, he had his first encounter with the knucker, thinking it must be some kind of dinosaur remnant. Nobody believed his story until he was fourteen when he met Dragon Master Ebenezer Crook at a meeting of the Sussex Archeological Society. Ebenezer and his wife followed young Drake into the forest, where their dragon-tracking skills led to a second encounter. Ebenezer then explained to Drake the differences between dragons and dinosaurs, and convinced him to study the former. But Drake's parents did not allow him to travel to Bodmin to study with Ebenezer, and he was only able to do so when he graduated from university in 1843. In Bodmin, Drake studied dragonology under Ebenezer Crook for four years before beginning his first round-the-world trip to investigate both dragons and dragonological societies. He finally became a Dragonologist First Class in 1852, enabling him to assume the title of "Doctor of Dragonology" after completing ground-breaking scientific work on the migratory habits of Frost Dragons. Travellling to London, he set up a shop called Dr. Drake's Dragonalia, where he taught dragonology to a few select pupils. His magnum opus was a book called Dragonology, which was initially published on a print run of only 100 copies in 1896, but he also produced several other works related to dragons. All of these books have the recurring themes that dragons ought to become objects of scientific study, and that as they are scarce it is the responsibility of dragonologists to conserve and protect them wherever they may be found. “Mom, we’re home!” said Lucy walking in the house with Ella at her side.
“Yeah, can we go down stairs and look for my basketball!?” said Ella.
“Sure,” said Mom “but be up for dinner!”
“K Mom,” said Lucy sounding as if she couldn’t care less.
And the two girls trotted down the stairs to the basement.

CHAPTER 2: The Portal
The girls started looking for the basketball right away. They looked high and low until there was only one place to look……. Behind a box.
Lucy lifted the box and shouted,”Found i-... Ella come here, QUICK!”
“Luce what is it and what did you find!?” Ella asked.
“Your basketball, and THAT,” said Lucy pointing to a small door small enough to crawl through.
“Let’s open it!” said Ella reaching for the knob. Her wrist slowly twisted. Then she tugged the knob and slowly opened the door. It was, an empty room.
“Go in,” dared Lucy.
Ella crawled in bumping her head on the way.
“Wooooooooooooaahhhhhhhh!” said Ella, “Lucy you HAVE to see this!

CHAPTER 3: Nadeedeea
What looked like an empty room was a whole new world of dragons, fairies, imps, talking trees and more.
Lucy looked up and now Ella was ON a unicorn.
“Would you by any chance, talk?” lucy asked the unicorn.
“LUCY!” said Ella as Lucy gave her a disappointed look.
“Why yes I do,” said the unicorn.

“Then can you tell us where we are?” asked Ella.
“Well this land is Nadeedeea,” said the unicorn looking confused. “And I’m Tiger. But that doesn’t matter. The evil Montria is taking over the dragons! And the only way to save them is to befriend them."
Ella and Lucy looked at each other in fright.

CHAPTER 4: The Adventure Begins
“Ouch!” said Ella trying to befriend a dragon.
“Need a hand?” said Lucy reaching out her hand.
Ella grabbed it and pulled herself up. Then three dragons flew down to them.
“Who are you and why are you here?!” said the purple dragon in a deep voice.
“I’m Ella and this is Lucy and we landed here, by a portal!” replied Ella.
“Ssshhhh, the portal has opened!” whispered the purple dragon.
“Yes, but who are you?” asked Ella.
“I’m Griffin and this is Snowflake,” he said pointing to a blue dragon. “And Rose,” he said pointing to a pink dragon. "If Montria (mon-tree-a) gets to your world she can control both our universes!"

“Roooaarr! Did you say Montria?” said a voice from the bushes .
"Eeeekk!" shrieked Ella and Lucy
“Who has spoken of my master!?” shouted a cat like creature pouncing out of the bushes.
“Casey!” snarled Snowflake. “What are you doing here!?”
“I heard you speak of Montria and when you put it that way…well, let’s just say, I want in!” replied Casey.
”Ok, but we should get started before dusk.” Rose said as they flew off.
